The ASSOCIATION OF PROFESSIONAL LIBRARIANS,Tokyo
(APL Tokyo) was founded in 1980. Our membership is comprised of Japanese and foreign
librarians and related professionals who work or live in the Tokyo area. Our members work in a variety of settings, including
international school & post-seconary libraries, special & corporate libraries, Japanese public libraries, Japanese
& foreign government and cultural organizations, and within the book & related-technology industries. We
meet for library tours, lectures, and social events.
Our mission is to provide interesting events and oportunities
to network for our members.
All APL business is conducted in English.
